Something to Celebrate

Lately, we’ve become aware of a problem plaguing our bank and credit union clients: bad bank intranets.
Because an intranet is, broadly speaking, a private website for hosting internal information, bank intranets can suffer from the same symptoms as public-facing websites. Over time, content grows outdated, and sometimes the sheer quantity of content makes the interface unwieldy. Add in aging technology, and what was meant to be a very useful tool might lose its utility altogether.
Such is the case with a certain software product our clients are eager to abandon. This old yet popular platform (which will remain nameless) is about as user-unfriendly as they come, requiring administrators to jump through hoop after nonintuitive hoop to make even small changes.
Fortunately, BrownBoots builds bank intranets that are easy to use, both from an admin’s point of view as well as the end user’s — the employee’s — perspective.
As with any bank website design project, we need to know the destination before we can make the roadmap. In terms of functionality, bank intranets can range greatly in complexity — from a microsite that houses internal documents to a much more robust approach to employee interaction.
The answers to those questions will guide the decisions that follow.
Whether bank intranets are integrated with third-party content management systems (CMS) or our own proprietary CMS, it’s paramount that the private site is easy to update. Admins need to get the most-up-to-date information on an intranet as quickly as possible.
And let’s face it, no one — whether working in HR, IT or marketing — has time to fight with an interface that requires a degree in computer science to manipulate.

Security is always a top priority for our responsive bank websites, and that’s especially true for bank intranets, which tend to contain sensitive information. We’re happy to host your intranet site, passing along all the benefits of our SSAE-16 compliant web servers.
Or, if you prefer, you may host your intranet internally.

Bank intranets can be many things, beginning with basic informational pages hidden behind a password all the way up to a complex portal where employees interact with the company and one another. We are happy to integrate any of the following components (and others):
We also can create bank intranets especially for your Board of Directors so you can put important, password-protected files in front of your board members from any web browser.
So whether you’re tired of contending with your clunky, old intranet or you’re ready for a more sophisticated approach to internal communication, BrownBoots has the cure.
