You tell us what you want, and we find the best way to make it happen.
That might be a bit of an oversimplification of how we handle our custom bank website services, but it tends to be a successful path, all the way from our initial project kickoff meeting to launch. (And beyond!)
Our latest bank website, pbkc.com, for The Peoples Bank in northern Maryland, certainly followed that well-established approach. Here are a few examples of what this client asked for and how we delivered:
How does a hometown bank celebrate the personal touch? First, we reduced the number of stock images, swapped in local photography, and peppered plenty of staff portraits throughout the subpages. The homepage, in particular, calls attention to two prominent industries, linking to loans created especially for agribusinesses and watermen, respectively.
Finally, a custom locations element on the homepage (desktop viewport only) not only displays the banks’ geography at a glance, but also introduces each branch manager with a personal quote of their own.
It might seem counterintuitive to make a website larger if one of the goals is to connect visitors with content more quickly. Nonetheless, we strategically doubled the size of pbkc.com’s sitemap. By adding individual branch pages, expanded business products and services, and additional destinations, visitors can dig as deep as they wish, without overloading any one page. Visitors who prefer to use the site search will likely find what they are looking for on specific subpages, as opposed to scanning long pages belabored by broad focuses.
Further assisting in our goal for swift navigation is a series of quick links. Whereas the old site repeated these frequently accessed pages in the dropdown navigation, the new site streamlines the main navigation and stores these quick links in an expandable callout that appears on every page.
Every BrownBoots bank website that takes advantage of our proprietary content management system (CMS) automatically benefits from a bevy of backend tools that make managing the site a low-labor endeavor.
The Peoples Bank’s new site not only capitalizes on such legacy applications as our Rates Manager and Staff Manager, but also serves as one of the first websites to leverage the Block Editor, which lets web admins easily reuse content across the site, including important alerts and notices. Better yet, the Block Editor features publish/unpublish scheduling, so promotions can be retired and revived as needed.
All in all, our newest website delivers exactly what the client requested — including what their customers need both today and tomorrow.
