Websites for Nonprofit Organizations
We consistently hear from our banking clients that what sets them apart from competitors is their continued and heartfelt support of their communities, especially through donations of time, money and services to nonprofit organizations.
Because BrownBoots also has a long history of giving back to nonprofits, we are happy to announce a new initiative called Community Collab. (Read the full announcement here.)
We look forward to helping you support the nonprofits that serve your communities!
How does it work?
Sometimes nonprofit organizations need help cultivating their web presence. Many banks and credit unions seek opportunities to support the nonprofits in their markets.
With Community Collab, BrownBoots works with representatives from the financial institution and the nonprofit organization to come up with a plan to produce a quality website at a reduced rate!
How much does a Community Collab nonprofit website cost?
Depending on the scope/complexity of the website, the project could land somewhere between $1,500 to $4,000 (after 50% discount) — a significant savings compared to BrownBoots’ standard rates.
We propose for the bank to pay 50% of the balance, and BrownBoots will donate the remaining 50%, though other arrangements are possible and encouraged.
Please note that any plugins or third-party systems that are incorporated into the website are not discounted.
What does the price tag include?
The estimate for a Community Collab website includes website design/development, project management, page population, and training provided by BrownBoots.
In most cases, we expect the text, images, and any videos will be provided by the nonprofit organization. However, we can customize estimates as needed.
Are there any other costs?
In addition to the cost of creating the website, a handful of one-time and recurring costs may accrue, including:
- Hosting and updating of WordPress/plugins
- Domain registration
- Ongoing BrownBoots support and website changes (after launch)
Depending on the scope/complexity of the site, plugins or other web applications can add one-time or annually renewed costs as well.
How involved is the bank or credit union in the nonprofit’s website project?
As much or as little as they wish to be!
We will rely on the financial and the nonprofit organization to determine the nature of the relationship prior to starting the website project.
How long will it take to create the new website?
Our goal is to complete the nonprofit website in a month or two.
Of course, there are several factors that can impact that timeline, including how long it takes to collect text and images, the length of the review process and the scope/complexity of the website.
Will the nonprofit organization be able to manage their own website after launch?
Yes!
The nonprofit website will be built in the WordPress content management system (CMS), and BrownBoots will provide training so that staff and volunteers can make updates to the website.
How can a bank or credit union take advantage of Community Collab?
Banks and credit unions that are current clients of BrownBoots can begin by filling out the form below.
At this time, we will accept inquiries only from an existing BrownBoots bank or credit union client. If a nonprofit is interested in initiating a project, they are encouraged to reach out to their local financial institutions and ask them to get the ball rolling.
